Yellow!!!
Today is Sunday... and tomorrow is the start of the last week before school! =O I can't believe it... I mean, we had 7 weeks holiday instead of 6 this year, I didn't go on holiday, and it's STILL gone really quickly!!!
The holidays have been good though, for two main reasons - getting to see Yung ^^ and my show. Though in general, it's been pretty good to be able to relax a bit. Even though I had coursework. Which I've now almost finished! I just need a conclusion, and then type it up, then I don't even need to think about that! =D
I really can't wait to find out how I did in my Graphics coursework either...
And my Music compositions too!! Which are both pretty crappy (well the first one sounds good but is musically incorrect, and the second sounds crappy but is musically correct =L) The second one is Serialism which is why it sounds so crap - Serialism, for those of you who don't know, is a type of music invented in the 20th century, where you basically come up with a set order of notes before you write the piece, then use different versions of that order to make the piece. That probably makes it sound really complicated, but it's actually really easy to understand, just... not so easy to listen to >.<
I was supposed to listen to a load of the BBC Proms for Music too... but I forgot =L I was only gonna listen to a few anyway... you have to be kidding if you think I'm gonna listen to Serialism >.<
Talking of music, I don't think I mentioned before, but I play 3 instruments - flute, piano and alto saxophone (well I also play recorder and fife, but not properly =P) And recently, I passed my Grade 4 piano and Grade 5 alto sax, both with merit! And piano was only 3 away from a distinction... =P Which is fantastic seeing as I've never even got a merit in piano before =O I owe my result partly to Yung for believing in me... =$
If you're wondering, I'm Grade 6 in flute XD Well between Grade 6 & 7, but officially 6 XD Though fingers crossed, I'm taking my Grade 7 in the Autumn term =D
If I do everything I'm hoping to do with term, I'm gonna be VERY busy:
-Take Grade 7 flute
-Do the annual Christmas FMC concert (possibly more, I don't know what they're planning)
-Do the annual school Christmas concert (I'll get to miss a day off school =L but I'll be in 4 different school bands so that means a lot of my own time too...)
-Be in the Senior Drama Club production (written by Mrs Markwell XD about 9/11 ='( but it's gonna be really good ^^)
-Be in the Sound of Music at school (I wanna be Maria!!)
I also wanna be in 2 productions at the Angles Theatre, but I don't think there's any chance of fitting those in too XD
Plus I'll have school work...
This is gonna be one busy term =L
But It'll be worth it XD
Anyways!!!
Youtube!!
Is!!
Annoying!!
Me!!
Why?? Well, it FINALLY uploaded my other videos(!!!), linkage to my account: http://www.youtube.com/user/dizzydotrox
But! I made another video... which it uploads... then it goes through the normal processing stage... I wait like normal... then it says "This video is not available" (well something like that, I can't remember exactly). I can't work out why!! It's the right format (wmv) but it still won't work!! =(
Any ideas on why it's not working?
And also... any ideas on how to convert avi videos to wmv without them losing quality? I made the video that won't upload on Windows Movie Maker, but had to convert the video in it to wmv using mediaconverter, which ruined the quality =( But for some reason, it freezes whenever I try to use an avi vid, and I don't know how else to convert it =(
Help?
I was gonna post more, but I'm going out in a little while and have to get ready XD
So... bye guys! XD

Past, Future & Present - I think that pretty much sums it up XD
Hello all!!
Erm, well right now i am home alone =D because my brother is at a cricket thingy and my parents have gone along too, but I didn't want to go =L I have to go to the presentation evening later on though *rolls eyes* Nah actually its not too bad, its just watching a 4 hour long cricket match that doesn't appeal to me >.< I'd much rather watch footie, so much more interesting imo.
Talking of footie, my brother (Alex btw) also plays for two footie teams, one of which won the double last season!!! =D I'm so proud of them, when Alex joined (his old club folded, but that's another story) the club were bottom of the league and hadn't won any of their games, and now they've won the double!! I'm not saying it was Alex who transformed the team, I'm saying it was a group effort and they deserve it!
Also, while we're on the subject of football, I thought I'd mention that I support Manchester United, and have done since I was 6 ^^ Though some people don't believe a girl can have supported a team for that long unless they actually live there (which I don't XD). I remember when I made a piczo site once, I made a page completely dedicated to Man Utd, and on the shoutbox, someone said "You only support Man U because your boyfriend does!" The problem with that was that my boyfriend at the time supported Arsenal =L
Oh, btw, I will one day tell you about my love life up til now, but all you need to know now is that I'm VERY happy with Yung, and I don't want anyone else ^^
On another note, yesterday I got my first GCSE result! Yes, I know I'm in year 10, but at my school, we take one Science GCSE in year 10, and the rest in year 11. Well, anyway... I got a B! Which I'm happy with, because I never wanted anything higher than a B in Science as it's not a subject I'm bothered about, but I'm kinda annoyed because in both my exams for it I got A*s (pretty good for a subject I don't really care about =L), but my coursework was an E, which is what brought it down... =/ thought to be fair, it wasn't ENTIRELY my fault I did so crappy, because:
1. In year 9, after we'd taken our SATs, we got split up into mixed ability groups for Science (our form groups), and we started doing our Can-Do tasks, but never completed them (partly because of being a mixed ability group, partly because of not enough time). Then, when we returned to school in year 10, we got put into new sets, but all of us had done different Can-Do tasks, so trying to do ones that weren't repeated for some people was really difficult and would've wasted time we could've spent studying.
2. The week we did our Science In The News task, it was a really bad time for me. I won't go into detail, but right then, I didn't see the point in even living, let alone trying in a subject I didn't like.
I'm ok now, those bad times are over, but still, it's hard seeing your hard work to try to get over it being brought down because of your past =/
Hmm
If you wanna know, the subjects I took to GCSE are Drama (I want to be an actress when I'm older), Music (I've studied music in some form or another from the age of 6, so it made no sense NOT to take it, besides, I love music ^^), French (I wanted to take a language because I knew it would be useful, and I chose French because I'm better at German =L I know that makes no sense, but it did to me - I wanted to get to the same level in French that I was at German, because, imo, its better to be able to speak two extra languages moderately well than one very well and one not so well =) and now I'm higher in French anyway =D), and Graphics (I only took Graphics because my school is a technology college so we HAVE to take a tech, and it was the best out of a bad bunch - Food Tech was out because I can't cook anything in under an hour =L; Textiles I'm crap at =L; Engineering is a double and I was already struggling to choose with only 3 options other than a tech; and Resistant Materials I'm also crap at XD so I chose Graphics... and I'm SO glad I did, its SO much fun and I'm doing really well in it =D My coursework is getting marked over the hols, I've worked really hard on it so fingers crossed I'll get an A!)
Also, we have to take double Science (one this year, one next year), English (literature and language), Maths, and the ICT DiDa (which I am failing so miserably because the teacher is crap XD)
Erm... yes, on a slightly deeper note, I've discovered something about myself. Because I've had a lot of crap happen in my life, but I've always been really positive about it, until eventually it kinda all got too much and yeah, that was when I was talking about earlier =/ But I got over that, I learnt to push everything to the back of my mind again, until a couple of days ago, I got reminded of stuff again, and I had a cry about it, went to sleep, got up the next morning feeling bad still (though I think that was because I had a really crappy dream =(), then started talking to people and getting on with stuff and felt better, normal again (well normal for me XD). And it was then that I realised what I'd done wrong before - I CAN'T push the past away forever, because it's happened and there's no changing that, and everything that's happened in my past has made me who I am. Sometimes, I NEED to remember the past in order to remember who I am. If I try to hide it away forever, I will fail and end up worse off. If I bring everything up occasionally, I can understand it more, well maybe not understand it, but accept it, and then go back to normal, and I'll still be ME.
Erm... yeah...
On a lighter note, my mum's now coming home which means I'll have to get ready for the presentation evening soon, and the weather's horrible, and I think there's a spider on my ceiling D=
Oh also, we're looking after a family friend's cat, Peugoet, because they're going on holiday and he has a dislocated hip =( and our cats, Dusty and Angel, are reacting in completely different ways =L Angel's just not going anywhere near him but Dusty keeps hissing and growling and staring at him =L As long as he doesn't go for him, he's fine =)
And another thing - my crappy youtube vids are STILL not uploading! =O Noooooo!!!! You're not missing much though =P
Well, that's all for now XD If you've got here then you must have a lot of patience XD you virtuous person =O
Au revoir!

Show Exhaustion, Youtube & Being Good 0=)
Bonjour! XD
My show, Dream Nights has now ended! D= I'm so sad that it's over =(
I never actually got round to telling you about it, did I?
Well, basically, it's the musical version of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and all the songs are 60's songs XD I played Snug (one of the Mechanicals for those of you who don't know the characters, or in the musical version, WEMADS! Which stands for Woodside Entertainment Musical Amateur Dramatics Society XD)
It was really good fun =)
It was a 2 week workshop at the local theatre, the Angles Theatre, I've done 2 before, High School Musical (I played Kelsi) and Return to the Forbidden Planet (I was a Newsreader), and I had so much fun! I LOVE being on stage and acting, I basically live to act. I'll show you the pictures once they're up on the website!
I am EXHAUSTED though! Working pretty much non-stop for 2 weeks does that to you XD But it was well worth it ^^ All 4 performances were brilliant, but my favourite 2 were the first and last. The first performance was the one my boyfriend, Yung, watched, and because he lives in Norwich, I hardly ever get to see him =( But I got to see him before and after the show, it was amazing, I love him so much ^^
The last performance was my other favourite because in the WEMADS play scene right at the end, my mate Stacey, who played Snout, who played the wall, knocked one of the wall things on stage over, and everyone was laughing their heads off, even the WEMADS who are supposed to be taking things very seriously =L I was SO glad I had my lion's mask on, cuz I was laughing my head off throughout the whole play =L
The whole thing has been so funny though, in the gap between the 3rd and last performance, I had some sherbert and went seriously hyper, it was REALLY funny, and there were so many other funny things I can't even say them all, but I will try to remember as many as I can and post them here later =)
The only bad thing is my knee =/ On Wednesday, I jumped off a wall (not a high wall, only about 2/3 feet tall), and completely failed the landing XD I landed on my knee and was only wearing thin leggings to cover my knee so it got cut, and now I think it's infected =/ It still hurts, though not as bad as it has the last few days, I've been in agony the last few days =/ And I've nearly died, so I KNOW what agony is =P
Erm yeah, also, I am FINALLY making Youtube vids! I made 3 the other day but have only uploaded one and am currently uploading the second (will give links once I have all 3 XD) They're pretty random and pretty crap, but they will honestly get better!
I've been in my mate Claire's vids before (search "Claire Sophie and Tiri lol", "Reconstruction of Malteser" and "The Claire and Sophie Show"), but making my own is different XD I will get better at it though =L That's a promise!
I did MEAN to do one a little while ago called "Things I Have Learnt Today", but my webcam decided to play up and I hadn't realised I could record on my digital camera =$
And also... I am being very good today 0=) I have done some of my English coursework that I was moaning about the other day (I still don't understand some of my notes though =L), I did quite a bit actually and I think I can comfortably finish it before the end of the hols. And now I am tidying my room! Well not right now obviously, I'm having a break from tidying =P but I'm being a good girl ^^
That's all for now folks!

Zomg... Thieves and Accidents =O
Well... here it's 10 right now, and I'm really tired cuz I've had a long day at rehearsals (I need to explain to you about that)..
Yeah, today I was gonna explain a bit more about myself seeing as my introduction was pretty much a load of moaning about coursework, but more interesting stuff has happened XD
Such as...
Rehearsals for my show! XD
Well it's not actually MY show, I'm just in it - Dream Nights at the Angles Theatre in Wisbech if you happen to be dropping by XD
Will explain more about that later XD
But yeah...
So... today was my little second cousin Louis' 4th birthday, and he was arriving back from his holiday to Turkey today, so my mum went round to his house while I was at rehearsals, and found out that some bastard nicked all his Ben 10 toys while he was over there!! =O
He was really upset bless him, so after my rehearsals, me and mum went to Argos to buy him a new one, a Brainstorm figure, and when we gave it to him his face lit up ^^ It was so sweet!! But then he wouldn't give either of us a hug because we wouldn't let him open it yet (he was in the middle of town... lol)
Bless him ^^
But I can't believe anyone could do that =O it was the hotel manager's son that stole them as well... that's just plain stupid >.<
Also what else is on my mind... the death of that 10-year old girl in Clacton-On-Sea =(
As if that wasn't sad enough... it's brought back memories of a childhood friend of mine who died in a car accident last year =( Both stories have been all over the news, and when Charlotte died, well I was upset obviously, but a couple of months later the story was on the news again, because they were trying to prove that her mum (who was driving the car) hadn't intentionally killed her daughter and she'd just been proven innocent (how they could even think that I don't know, she loved her Charlotte so much, she'd NEVER have done it intentionally, in fact knowing her, I doubt she'll ever be able to forgive herself), but yeah, when it went on the news again and they were going on about it in a sad tone of voice and with sad voices, I just wanted to scream at the TV, "YOU DIDN'T KNOW HER!! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE FOR ME!! SO STOP PRETENDING YOU DO!!"
So yeah...
Hmmm...
Bye! XD

Omg... Coursework.. Sucks...
Well hello and welcome to my new and rather confusing blog! XD
For now, I am going to have a good old moan about coursework, for the very simple reason that right now, I am supposed to be doing my English coursework (on Act 1, Scene 5 of Romeo & Juliet) and am bored and stuck for what to say XD
I hate coursework.
Well actually not all coursework, some is pretty damn cool, like stuff for Graphics and Drama, but Shakespeare... really not my cup of tea XD
At least I have Claire to keep me company...
And I have my music XD
And the forum...
And Facebook...
And TribalWars...
And Travian...
And now this...
Yeah, so in case you haven't guessed by now, I'm really not concentrating on my coursework when I really should be XD
The title of the piece is (yes, this really is the title): How does Shakespeare create dramatic tension in Act 1 Scene 5 of Romeo & Juliet? How important is the scene to the play as a whole?
The answer: by being an extremely good playwright; very, its when Romeo and Juliet first meet and if they don't meet then that kinda ruins the whole plot XD
But will they accept that as an answer? Noooo, they want us to write a whole bloody essay on such a simple answer *head desk*
I really don't understand why.
To show off our English skills? Well why not give us something decent to do then? Like writing a story? That'll show off our English skills much better than this!!
And besides... I mean, don't get me wrong, Shakespeare wrote some amazing stuff, but... nobody actually speaks like this anymore... I mean, when his stuff is translated into other languages, they get it written in the modern version of their language in order to study it, but we get ye olde version.
That's just plain unfair imo.
Ah well, hopefully I'll actually concentrate on it properly at some point and I'll end up with a good grade for it so it will all end up good XD
Adieu!
